A little bit of everything from a city witch.

  • I’ve been kind of out of the loop for a while because I’ve been pretty focused on taking care of my daughter. Her post high school life has been unfolding not as planned. It’s been almost a year since graduation and in that time we’ve got her in a weekly program in Malden and she’s just started with a therapist who specializes in Autism and OCD. That second part took the better part of 6 months to get a diagnosis for btw. We’re still working out the kinks.

I’ve been trying to write consistently but at this point I consider just being able to read again a victory. Still a lot of stuff my mind won’t let me focus on, but history and haunted house books are ok. My go tos. I’m also seeing a therapist to try and unclog my brain which has been too full to function well for a few years now.

My inner social justice warrior is still wide awake though, screaming at the fire that is the world right now and I have to let her out for small actions. I remind her that we need to put our own air mask first.

So I’m still here, still agitated, just really focused on getting Miss T to a level of ok where she can start building her own life. I’m not ignoring you all. I love and miss you very much!

  • It’s hard to know where to start on a new project, but this isn’t really a NEW project. I’m committing to my writing as an act of faith that all of the distractions will overcome. That I will come up with something for a theoretical reader to look at on a regular basis. I’m not going to limit my topics, though I am going to commit to a larger project in time. Right now. Baby steps.
